Cat Ba town, Phu Long and Nghia Lo communes were selected as 03 pilot places in Cat Hai district to propagandize the Ordinance and joint Resolution on implementation of democracy at the grassroots level. Grassroots democracy is not a new issue, but not easy to talk about. The workshops from 17th to 18th July 2008, however, still got good results owing to trained reporters (from the training course in June), new-style presentation, audiovisual aids and sufficient material delivery. |

Following the June 19 workshop, a training of trainers on disseminating information concerning the Ordinance and Joint Resolution on the Implementation of Grassroots Democracy took place in Cat Hai District People’s Committee over 2 days from June 20-21, 2008. There were 35 participants, all of whom were already fully aware of the Ordinance and Joint Resolution from the workshop. |

A one-day workshop on disseminating information concerning the Ordinance and Joint Resolution on the Implementation of Grassroots Democracy was held at the headquarters of the People’s Committee of Cat Hai district on June 19, 2008. More than 50 people participated, including representatives from district departments and commune leaders. Mr. Tran Ngoc Nhan – Head of the Democracy and Law Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Father Land Front participated as a lecturer and reporter for the workshop. |
